An alternative to travelling from Nagano to Togari Nozawa Onsen Station by train and then taking a local bus to the village, you can take a bus directly from Nagano To Nozawa Onsen.
The journey takes about an hour and twenty minutes, and costs 1400 yen. The bus makes 8 trips a day during the season.
