Direct Shuttle Transfers

Taking a shuttle from the airport is a little more expensive than the train, but it will certainly save you a lot of hassle. You will be picked up at the arrival gat and dropped off at the door of your accommodation for about ¥12000/person. Rail Passes

A four day JR East pass gives you 4 days of unlimited travel on all JR east lines for ¥20000. A return trip from Narita to Nagano costs around ¥20000, so in most cases purchasing one of these will save you a lot of money. JR East Pass Official Site
