Autumn in Nozawa

10 Nov

Welcome to the first post of the season!

Nozawa Onsen is getting ready for the scheduled opening in just eleven days on November 22nd this year - a week earlier than last year. It has snowed up top three times already. The forecast for this week is warm weather, with heavy rain at the end of the week, turning to snow early next week.

At Nagano Go we are also getting ready for a busy season. Daily snow reports will be starting from December 1st, and we look forward to bringing you weather forecasts and some snow photos very soon.

The photo we have posted is of the Koyo (autumn leaves) at Nozawa Onsen. recently Japan has gained fame for its amazing snow in winter, but with cherry blossom viewing in spring, summers full of festivals, baseball and cold beer, and a spectacular change of seasons in autumn, any time of year is a great time to visit Japan.
